Beltrum 2026 — Day Two: MIX 580 and a Big Thank You

The second and final competition day is behind us. The MIX 580 category, the closing day of the wonderful TTV VIOS Bison tournament.

We didn’t convert a pull into points today either. But the performance we delivered — both on the rope and off it as a whole organisation — was, from the coach’s perspective, absolutely outstanding. We are rightly proud of the entire team.

To gather experience at the highest European level — that was our mission here. We delivered on that 100%.

A huge thank you to our wonderful reinforcement from Italy, who completed our women’s trio and, together with her team, passed on more invaluable advice. Equally, thank you to all the pullers from 🇿🇦 South Africa, 🇮🇹 Italy and 🇧🇪 Belgium who joined our team and gave it everything alongside us.

The home team — TTV VIOS Bison — deserves a special mention. When we needed a ride to our campsite at two in the morning, they woke half the village to make sure someone got us there. That is the tug-of-war community at its best.

Beltrum is a beautiful little town, the atmosphere was fantastic and the facilities were top-tier. Thank you to every volunteer and organiser for a perfect tournament — and to everyone else who welcomed us as absolute newcomers with such open arms.
